3. Spacing



Begin by approaching the start line and assuming the “on your marks” position by placing your hands, front foot and back foot as indicated in the Figure. When viewed from the side, your arms should be perpendicular to the ground.
 When viewed from the front, your hands should be placed on the line slightly further apart than shoulder width.
